What's at Stake

Everyone has the right to be themselves in school, including young people whose appearance or identity doesn't correspond with the gender they were assigned at birth. Young people's gender identity and expression should also be respected when they're interacting with police or being held in legal custody or foster care. The ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵis working to make sure transgender and gender nonconforming youth are treated fairly and with the dignity they deserve.
